Wise River - Guardrail Upgrades Proposed For Montana Hwy 43

of Transportation Proposes Guardrail Upgrades on Montana Highway 43
Wise River — The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would
like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal to upgrade
7.6 miles of guardrail on Montana Highway 43 east of Wise River in
Beaverhead County. The project begins 2.6 miles east of Wise River at
reference post 67.6 and extends east for 7.6 miles, ending near
reference post 75.2.
Proposed work includes installation of new
compliant guardrail. The purpose of the project is to replace
guardrail through the canyon east of Wise River.
The project is
tentatively scheduled for construction in 2021, depending on
completion of all project development activities and availability of
funding. No new right-of-way or utility relocations will be needed.
