Montana Department
of Transportation Proposes Project to Construct Multi-Use Path and
Provide Lighting Along Fairgrounds Road

Hamilton  The Montana
Department of Transportation (MDT) would like to notify the public
and seek comments on a proposal to construct an Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant multi-use path and provide path
lighting along Fairgrounds Road in Hamilton. The project begins at
the intersection of Old Corvallis Road and runs east to the
intersection of Kurtz Lane.

Proposed work includes construction of a
new ADA-compliant multi-use path on the south side of Fairgrounds
Road between Old Corvallis Road and North Daly Avenue as well as path
lighting between Old Corvallis Road and Kurtz Lane. The purpose of
the project is to extend the existing multi-use path and to provide

Construction is tentatively planned for fall 2018
depending on completion of design and availability of funds. The
project will be funded jointly from Federal Highway Administration
Transportation funds and City of Hamilton local match. No new
right-of-way will be needed.
