Montana Department
of Transportation Proposes Resurfacing Project on Urban Routes in

BELGRADE  The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT)
would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal to
resurface about 3.5 miles of urban routes within the City of
Belgrade. The project will include 0.6 miles of Nevada Street,
Jefferson Avenue and Oregon Street; 1.01 miles of Jackrabbit Lane;
0.53 miles of Davis Street and Central Avenue; 1.13 miles of Grogan
Street and Spooner Road; and 0.26 miles of Cruiser Lane. 

work includes seal and cover, upgraded pavement marking, and signage.
The purpose of the project is to preserve the life of the existing
pavement and to provide a more skid resistant surface.

The project
is currently outside of the Tentative Construction Plan. Project
construction will depend on completion of all project development
activities and availability of funding. No new right-of-way or
utility relocations will be needed.
