...FLOOD WATCH WILL EXPIRE AT 6 AM MDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

Area streams, creeks and rivers will continue to run swift and 
high. However the threat for significant flooding has likely come
to an end and thus the Flood Watch for portions of east central 
Idaho and west central Montana will expire at 6 AM MDT early this 
morning.

...The Flood Watch continues for the following river in
southwest Montana...

 Big Hole River near Melrose 

.Runoff from widespread rainfall earlier this week combined with
continuing mountain snowmelt could result in minor flooding on
portions of the Big Hole River near Melrose today.

  the Big Hole River near Melrose
* from this morning to this afternoon.
* At  3:15 AM Thursday the stage was 5.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is possible.
* Forecast...Flood stage may be reached this morning, but it will
likely fall below flood stage again late this afternoon.
