Skies were mainly clear across the Treasure state this afternoon as 
an upper level ridge of high pressure strengthened over the Northern 
Rockies. Dry conditions prevailed with no precipitation observed and 
relative humidity generally in the teens. Afternoon temperatures 
warmed about 10 degrees from yesterdays values.   

At 4 pm, temperatures across the state were mainly in the 80s. The 
coolest location was West Yellowstone at 81 degrees, while 
Helena and Livingston were the warmest at 90 degrees.

For tonight, mainly clear skies and dry conditions will prevail as 
high pressure remains anchored over the Northern Rockies and 
Montana. Low temperatures are generally expected to fall into the 
40s to mid 50s. Winds will remain light and somewhat variable in 
most areas.
