A Pacific cool front continue to push eastward through Montana this 
afternoon, producing scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some 
storms were producing some small hail and gusty winds.

Afternoon temperatures were still warm for many locations today, 
with a few cooler readings along the US/Canadian border. As of late 
this afternoon, Glendive was one of the warmer locations, with a 
temperature of 84 degrees, while it was 74 degrees just south of 

Scattered thunderstorms were affect a good portion of eastern and 
southern MT as of 4 PM. Some storms were producing wind gusts around 
40 mph and small hail. Reported rainfall amounts this afternoon have 
been light, generally less than 0.05 inches. 

For tonight, expect showers and thunderstorms to continue into the 
late evening hours over eastern and southern MT. Again some storms 
could be strong. Mostly clear skies will prevail over northwest MT. 
Overnight lows will range from the lower 40s in the west to the mid 
50s in the east.
