56th Roundabouts King and Central logo

Project Overview

Construction began in spring of 2022 on the 56th Roundabouts: King and Central project. This project constructed single-lane roundabouts at the intersections of King Avenue and 56th Street West and Central Avenue and 56th Street West. The intersections serve drivers traveling to and from the far west end of Billings; these roundabouts will improve the flow of traffic both now and into the future. The project is anticipated to be completed in the winter of 2022 and is being constructed by Riverside Contracting, Inc.

Most Recent Construction Update:

Construction at the intersection of Central Avenue and 56th Street West is nearly complete. A one-day closure of the roundabout to complete the final epoxy striping is anticipated when weather allows.

The King Avenue and 56th Street West roundabout is also nearly complete. A two-day closure is anticipated for the final epoxy striping when weather allows.

Please continue to use caution when driving through the intersection as team members may still be working near the roadway.
