Bear Creek Road - North - Construction Updates

July 24, 2023

Construction updates:

• Riverside Contracting Inc. has completed a seal and cover (chip seal) and fog seal on US Highway 93 (US 93), south of Victor. All lanes are open to the traveling public.
• Crews also completed a crack seal and fog seal on the adjacent section of Bitterroot Trail. The shared-use path is open.

Upcoming:

• Final striping on US 93 is scheduled for mid-August. Traffic control will be in place during construction.

July 17, 2023

Construction updates:

• Resurfacing continues on US Highway 93 (US 93), south of Victor. Riverside Contracting Inc. crews are completing a seal and cover (chip seal) and fog seal.
• Construction is anticipated to last through the week of July 17, with striping to follow.
• The adjacent section of the Bitterroot Trail will be closed intermittently throughout the week of July 17 as the shared-use path receives a crack seal and fog seal.

Advisories:

• During roadway construction, traffic control will be in place with single lane closures. Expect brief traffic delays.
• During the Bitterroot Trail closures, cyclists and pedestrians are advised to use alternate routes.

Construction updates:

• Construction starts this week with a seal and cover (chip seal) occurring in two stages. The first pass will chip seal the wheel ruts and a second pass will chip seal the full roadway.
• The adjacent section of the Bitterroot Trail, located south of Victor, will be closed as the shared-use path receives a crack and fog seal.
• Construction is anticipated to last through the week of July 17, with striping to follow.

Advisories:

• During roadway construction, traffic control will be in place with single lane closures. Brief traffic delays should be expected.
• Cyclists and pedestrians are encouraged to subscribe for text alerts by texting BEAR to 833-648-0322 for up-to-date trail closure and re-opening notices.
• Please plan ahead and use alternate routes during the Bitterroot Trail closure.
