Project Overview

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is partnering with Riverside Contracting, Inc., to complete Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades in Bridger. This project will include ADA-compliant sidewalks, ramps, approaches, and new signage along Main Street from Park Avenue, extending through town and ending south of Carbon Avenue.

Construction has begun and is expected to continue through fall 2025. To enhance safety and accessibility for all users, 27 ADA corner ramps, 16 reconstructed approaches, and approximately 1,200 square feet of new sidewalks are planned.

Billings District ADA Upgrades

The Bridger ADA phase is one section of the Billings District ADA Upgrades project, which also includes improvements in the Lewistown and Billings communities. As a part of MDT’s statewide effort to improve pedestrian facilities across Montana, this project will bring sidewalks in each of these communities into compliance with current ADA standards, allowing greater accessibility for all.
