For the safety of the public and workers, MDT encourages motorists to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, slow down, and use caution when traveling through the work zone.

During construction, the interstate bridges will remain open with single-lane traffic in each direction during construction. However, the German Gulch Road bridge over I-15 will be closed while the bridge deck is replaced.

Traffic control will vary on a case-by-case basis for individual bridges. Motorists should expect:

• Reduced speed limits.
• Intermittent lane closures.
• Flaggers or temporary signals to direct traffic.

Work is anticipated to begin in April 2024 and be completed in late fall. The German Gulch Road bridge is expected to be closed approximately two months.
