Study Focus
The Montana Department of Transportation identified a need to evaluate options for the existing Gold Creek Safety Rest Area. The eastbound (EB) and westbound (WB) sites are located on Interstate 90 (I-90) north of Garrison Junction. The goal of the study was to evaluate two alternatives: reduction in service and complete closure of the facilities. The study was based on existing site constraints, corridor needs, public/stakeholder input, and financial feasibility to operate and maintain. Click on the links below to view the final report.
