Plan Focus
The City of Missoula, with assistance from Cambridge Systematics and technical and financial support from MDT, initiated the development of the 2013 Missoula's Community Transportation Safety Plan (CTSP), to address fatal and serious injuries on roadways within the Missoula urbanized area. Safety planning is a data-driven process that reviews relevant crash data for Missoula to help local stakeholders determine and prioritize the focus areas of the safety effort. Coordination involves various community stakeholders to address transportation safety issues and to identify strategies to reduce roadway fatalities and serious injuries.
The Missoula Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) updated the Missoula Community Transportation Safety Plan (CTSP). The update addresses changes in safety concerns, crash trends, mitigation strategies, innovative technologies, and changes to federal requirements that have occurred since the previous CTSP.
