While the seal and cover (chip seal) cures, motorists traveling through the project area can expect reduced speed limits.

The seal and cover (chip seal) remains in its 30-day curing period. Crews plan to apply the final reflective epoxy striping at the end of August, depending on weather and other unforeseen factors.

July 24, 2025
The seal and cover (chip seal) and temporary striping have been completed. Roadway signage and delineators have also been installed. After the chip seal has cured for 30-days, the final reflective epoxy striping will be applied.

The asphalt paving is now complete. Crews will begin applying the seal and cover (chip seal) this week. Temporary striping will be added starting next week. After the chip seal cures for a 30-day period, the final reflective epoxy striping will be applied.

July 3, 2025
Asphalt paving was completed this week. Now that paving is finished, seal and cover (chip seal) and roadway signs will be installed, and striping will be applied.

In observance of the 4th of July holiday, crews will pause construction starting Thursday, July 3 at noon and resume work on Monday, July 7.

Asphalt paving began this week and is expected to continue through next week. After paving is finished, roadway signs will be installed, and striping will be applied.

June 10, 2025
The following work has been completed at both project sites:
- Gravel has been placed along the roadway shoulders
- Topsoil has been added
- Seeding has been done on the roadway shoulders
- Fencing installation
Next week, asphalt paving is scheduled to begin. After paving is finished, roadway signs will be installed, and striping will be applied.

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and its partner KH Civil Contractors Inc. are expecting to begin construction this spring.
