N. 19th Avenue - Bozeman - Weekly Project Updates

Week of July 6, 2025

This week:

• Paving is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 7 at 6 p.m. Crews will begin at the intersection of N. 19th Avenue and Main Street along the east side lane and move north to the bridge, weather and unforeseen factors permitting. Adjacent side streets will also be paved during this time.
• To allow for paving operations, no parking is allowed during work hours (6 p.m. to 7 a.m.) on the east side of N. 19th Avenue from Main Street to Durston Road.

Lane Closures

• Lanes will be closed from the bridge to Main Street, and all side roads will be open or closed, as needed, based on current operations.

Traffic Control

• Please watch for reduced speeds and detour signage in the construction zone.
• There will be a 12-foot width restriction in place during working hours.

Construction Schedule

• To accommodate holiday traffic, there will be no construction Thursday, July 3, through Sunday, July 6. Regular work hours of 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. will resume Monday, July 7.

Week of June 29, 2025

This week:

• Milling is scheduled to begin Monday night in the northbound lanes of N. 19th Avenue from Main Street to the bridge, and paving will begin in the southbound lanes from the bridge to Main Street.
• To allow for paving and milling operations, no parking is allowed during work hours on the west side of N. 19th Avenue in the southbound lanes from Durston Road to Main Street or on the east side of N. 19th Avenue in the northbound lanes from Main Street to Durston Road.
• Work hours are 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. June 29 to July 2, weather and other unforeseen factors permitting.

Lane Closures

Week of June 22, 2025

This week:

• Milling (removing the existing, paved area) will occur in the southbound lanes of N. 19th Avenue from Durston Road to Main Street.
• Paving is scheduled to begin Monday night and finish Thursday, weather and other unforeseen factors permitting.
• There will be NO parking on the west side of N. 19th Avenue in the southbound lanes from Durston Road to Main Street from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. during milling and paving operations.

Lane Closures

• Closures will occur from the bridge to Main Street in the southbound lane, alternating from the left to the right side of the road. Access to side roads will be intermittent based on operations occurring that day.
• The Interstate 90 (I-90) eastbound off-ramp at N. 19th Avenue will be closed for paving Monday through Thursday during working hours.

Week of June 15, 2025

This week:

• Milling (removing the existing, paved area) will begin along N. 19th Avenue starting Wednesday, June 18, at 7 p.m. and is slated to end prior to the 4th of July holiday, weather and other unforeseen factors permitting.
• Milling work will start at the bridge and move south on N. 19th Avenue in the southbound lanes.

Lane Closures

• The Interstate 90 (I-90) eastbound off-ramp at N. 19th Avenue will be closed starting at 6 p.m. June 18 for milling operations.
• East Valley Center will be closed starting at 6 p.m. June 18 for milling operations, and traffic will be detoured from eastbound East Valley Center onto N. 27th Avenue to Cattail Street.
• The I-90 eastbound off-ramp and East Valley Center will be open by 7 a.m. June 19.
• Other traffic impacts include lane closures from the bridge south to Cattail Street.

• Crews will continue concrete and Americans with Disabilities Act improvements along East Valley Center and the west side of Durston Road and Main Street. The contractor aims to complete ADA work mid-week, weather and other unforseen factors permitting.
• Bridge work will continue in the southbound lane along North 19th Avenue with daily lane closures from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• Road widening will continue from East Valley Center to the Interstate 90 (I-90) eastbound on-ramp.
• Crews will continue removing the concrete median along East Valley Center.

This week:

• Crews will continue concrete and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements along the west side of Cattail Street, Tschache Lane, and Oak Steet. Road widening will also begin and will consist of excavation, placing embankment, and inserting new storm drains.
• The contractor will begin removing the concrete median along N. 19th Avenue starting at the bridge over Interstate 90 (I-90) moving to the south.

Traffic Control

• Traffic impacts include daily lane closures starting at 7 p.m. and ending at 7 a.m. The exception will be the right turn lane on I-90 eastbound, which will be closed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The adjacent ramp will be open at all times.
• Please watch for reduced speeds in the construction zone.
• There will be a 12-foot width restriction in place during working hours.

Week of April 13, 2025

Construction is set to kick off April 14 at 7 p.m. and will include sidewalk and curb replacements from Cattail Street heading south. Widening re-construction will also begin from East Valley Center north to the Interstate 90 (1-90) eastbound on-ramp. Travelers can expect single-lane closures from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday through Friday. Riverside Contracting and their sub-contractors do not plan to work past Friday at 7 a.m.

Traffic Control

During nighttime hours, watch for flaggers, reduced speeds, single-lane traffic, and illuminated signage.

• There will be a 12-foot width restriction in place during construction hours.
• During daytime hours, traffic will resume as normal.
