Beginning October 15, The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and contractor, LHC, will begin the final installation of delineators along a portion of Montana Highway 83 (MT 83) near Swan Lake.
Traffic control will be in place between mile markers 72 and 74.5. Traffic will be slowed to 35 mph and single lane closures will be in effect with temporary traffic signals and pilot cars. Work is scheduled to be completed by the end of October.
This work will complete the MT 83 Swan Lake Pavement Preservation project.

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and LHC Inc. have completed the South Segment of the Montana Highway 83 (MT) Swan Lake Pavement Preservation project.
Pavement marking installation is taking place and will be completed the week of August 12. This marks the final item to be completed for this project.

Due to mechanical issues with equipment, the contractor will not be applying pavement markings until the week of August 5. During that week, crews will be working at night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. to apply permanent pavement markings. Be aware of slow-moving vehicles when painting is occurring.
