The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), in partnership with Stillwater Electric Inc. and Knife River, continues work at the intersections of U.S. Highway 93 (US 93) with Treeline Road and Wyoming Street. These intersection improvements will enhance safety and accessibility along the US 93 corridor in Kalispell.
Construction schedule for the week of August 25:
- Hours: Nighttime construction from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Closures: Approaches to Treeline Road and Wyoming Street will be closed nightly from 8:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. during active construction.
Work details for the week of August 25:
- US 93 and Treeline Road (Project #1): Paving operations east side of US 93.
- US 93 and Wyoming Street (Project #2): Final striping installation.
Looking ahead:
- For the first 2 weeks in September, there will be a temporary pause in construction while crews wait for materials and procurement. Project updates will pause with construction and resume once new information is available.
Throughout construction, US 93 will be reduced to one lane in each direction with traffic control in place. Flaggers will be on-site to assist and guide concrete trucks entering and exiting the construction area. Drivers are reminded to slow down and follow posted speed limits in the work zone—visibility is reduced at night, and crews will be present. Please use caution near construction crews and equipment. Pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists are encouraged to consider alternate routes.
All work is dependent on weather and other unforeseen factors.
