What’s the timeline for this project?

This project is currently in the alternative analysis phase to evaluate options to improve traffic operations at the West Three Forks Interchange. Once an alternative design is identified, the project will move into the design phase. Construction is tentatively planned for 2030.

What is the purpose of this project?

The West Three Forks Interchange is a heavily trafficked area that experiences frequent congestion during peak travel hours. The purpose of this project is to identify alternative interchange configurations to help improve traffic operations and enhance roadway safety features.

What changes are being considered for the interchange?

Traffic signals or roundabouts are being considered at one or both ramps at the West Three Forks Interchange. This project does not intend to impact or replace the existing bridge structure over I-90.

Who is working on this project?

MDT is leading the West Three Forks Interchange Improvements project. DOWL is the engineering consultant on this project.
