- Due to current weather conditions in the Havre area, no construction activities will occur this week.
- Work will resume when conditions improve.
Traffic Control
- There will be no active work zones or traffic control devices in place this week.
- All lanes will remain open to normal traffic.
June 1, 2026
This week:
- Work in the westbound outside lane of First Street (U.S. Highway 2) has been completed and has shifted to the eastbound and westbound inside and middle lanes.
- Crews are removing and replacing damaged concrete panels and completing other repairs as part of the first phase of work.
- Surface grinding will begin in a second phase once most panel repairs are complete, likely toward the end of the week, weather and other factors permitting.
- Work will continue to occur in segments moving from west to east.
Traffic Control
- Traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction and is being guided by traffic control devices in active work areas.
- Minimal delays are anticipated, but travelers should plan for extra time. Speeds will be reduced to 25 to 35 mph or the posted speed, whichever is lower.
- Access to businesses will be maintained and clearly marked with traffic control devices.
- Wide loads are not restricted at this time but may be delayed depending on operations.
Construction Schedule
- Crews are working during daylight hours, Monday, June 1, through Saturday, June 6, weather and other factors permitting.
May 26, 2026
This week:
- Work in the eastbound outside lane of First Street (U.S. Highway 2) has been completed and has shifted to the westbound outside lane.
- Crews are removing and replacing damaged concrete panels and completing other repairs as part of the first phase of work.
- Toward the end of the week, work is expected to move to the eastbound middle and inside lanes and may occur at the same time in both directions.
- Surface grinding will begin in a second phase once most panel repairs are complete.
- Work will take place in four- to five-block segments and move from the outer lanes toward the center of the roadway.

- Surface grinding will begin in a second phase once most panel repairs are complete.
- Work will occur in four- to five-block segments and will move from the outer lanes toward the center of the roadway in stages.
