Construction Update

Construction on the Lewistown ADA upgrades is underway and expected to be nearing completion in the coming weeks, depending on weather and other unforeseen factors.

Project Overview

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) has partnered with Riverside Contracting Inc. to complete Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades in Lewistown. The project includes ADA-compliant sidewalks, ramps, approaches, and new signage along 1st Avenue North and 1st Avenue South from Broadway Street to Upper Spring Creek Road.

Construction began in the fall of 2024 and will continue through spring of 2025. To enhance safety and accessibility for all users, the ADA improvements include approximately 17 ADA corner ramps, 29 sign replacements, 26 reconstructed approaches, and more than 11,000 square feet of new sidewalks.
