  • Single-lane traffic with lane closures
  • Traffic controlled by flaggers or temporary signals
  • Width restrictions at times

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and Hoffman’s R&M Services LLC are continuing work on the Lincoln Road and Applegate Drive intersection north of Helena.

Crews have shifted work to the eastern leg (Lincoln Road) and are beginning to remove asphalt on that leg of the roundabout. During working hours, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., traffic on the eastern leg will be reduced to a single lane controlled by a flagger or a temporary signal.

This work is anticipated to take a few weeks to complete. The northern leg of the roundabout has resumed a two-way traffic configuration at this time.

Crews are continuing landscaping in the center of the roundabout in addition to working on the retaining walls. Electrical work is ongoing throughout the project area.

The intersection remains in a "no left turn" state to allow crews to safely work. Additionally, north/south traffic on Applegate Drive is not able to go straight through the intersection and will need to keep right when entering the intersection.
