The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and its contracting partner CK May Excavating have substantially completed construction on the North 7th Avenue & Griffin Drive project in Bozeman!

All traffic control has been removed. Crews will return to apply final striping in 2024. This work is anticipated to take about a week to complete.

Final striping is only expected to take a few days to complete, but weather conditions have prevented crews from finishing the work this year. Final striping will be the last step to complete the project. Temporary striping will be in place until crews return next year.

Once the permanent traffic signals are installed, all traffic control will be removed until crews return for final striping in 2024.

On Thursday, October 5, Montana Rail Link will be temporarily closing the Rouse Avenue railroad crossing. During this time, traffic will be detoured through the North 7th Avenue and Griffin Drive project area. The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) anticipates significant delays on North 7th Avenue while the railroad crossing is closed, and encourages motorists to consider alternate routes if possible. The railroad crossing closure is expected to last one day.
