The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and Montana Lines Inc. are continuing work in Deer Lodge.
A concrete pour for the sidewalk area is currently planned for the week of 10/20. Additionally, areas in front of the curb and gutter will be paved and crews will be installing new traffic signals early in the week.
Work is currently anticipated to conclude by the end of next week. Following completion of this work, construction in Deer Lodge will wrap for the 2025 construction season. Crews will return in 2026 to apply a seal and cover (chip seal) and restripe Main Street.
Work in Anaconda has concluded for the 2025 season.

Next week (10/13), crews plan to prepare for concrete curb and gutter pouring. Additional concrete pouring on the sidewalks and potential installation of the pedestrian signals may occur.

Crews will return in 2026 to apply a seal and cover (chip seal) and new pavement markings to Montana Highway 1 (MT 1). The traffic signals at the Main Street intersections with Park Avenue and Commercial Avenue will be turned on next week.
In Deer Lodge, crews have begun work on the sidewalks at the intersection of Main Street and Milwaukee Avenue. Currently, crews are working on underground utilities. This work will take a few weeks to complete. Pedestrians will need to detour during this time.

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and Montana Lines Inc. will be patching asphalt in front of the curb and gutter in Anaconda next week. Additionally, crews will need to apply new paint markings at the Main Street intersections with Park Avenue and Commercial Avenue. Once this work is completed, crews will be mostly done with work in Anaconda for the 2025 construction season.
In Deer Lodge, crews tentatively plan to begin sidewalk demolition. This had previously been delayed by a few weeks due to scheduling conflicts. When this work begins, pedestrian traffic will be disrupted at the intersection of Main Street and Milwaukee Avenue.

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and Montana Lines Inc. plan to begin signal pole installation in Anaconda next week, Sept. 22. Following completion of the pole installation, crews will be restriping the crosswalks at the Main Street intersections with Commercial Avenue and Park Avenue. Work will continue throughout the week on this project.
