The Belgrade Intersection Improvements project is currently in the design phase.

After evaluating multiple options for the intersection of Broadway and Main Street (currently a four-way stop), MDT, with the City of Belgrade, has selected the roundabout alternative to enhance safety and improve traffic flow. MDT and its consultant, DOWL, are working with the City of Belgrade to coordinate with surrounding land and business owners to discuss potential project impacts.

Other improvements will include upgrading the existing traffic signals by adding flashing yellow arrows and retroreflective backplates at the following intersections:

• Amsterdam Road with Thorpe Road
  • Significant utility infrastructure poses a challenge to the planned widening at Thorpe Road. To accommodate these utilities, the road alignment will shift slightly to the west. MDT and DOWL will continue to coordinate with land and businesses owners along the project corridor.
• Amsterdam Road with Interstate 90 (I-90) eastbound ramps
• Jackrabbit Lane with I-90 westbound ramps
