Travel Advisories:
Road widening is in progress on Zoo Drive between Gabel Road and Shiloh Road. Expect minor delays, narrow travel lanes, and reduced speeds while this work is completed.
Active and upcoming work:
- Construction of a new retaining wall along the north side of Zoo Drive is in progress. Next week, crews plan to pour the concrete foundation for the new wall. They will start placing the retaining wall blocks in the coming weeks.
- Crews plan to start paving the widened areas of Zoo Drive in early September, weather permitting.
August 1, 2025
Travel Advisories:
- The northbound right-turn lane from Zoo Drive onto Gabel Road is temporarily closed to prepare for the construction of a new retaining wall outside the roadway along the north side of Zoo Drive. In the meantime, right-turning traffic should use the through lane to turn right onto Gabel Road.
- Road widening is in progress on Zoo Drive between Gabel Road and Shiloh Road. Expect minor delays, narrow travel lanes, and reduced speeds while this work is completed.

- Median modifications are in progress along Zoo Drive to accommodate additional travel lanes.
- Electrical work is in progress along Zoo Drive, Pierce Parkway, and Gabel Road to prepare for intersection and traffic signal updates.

- The Interstate 90 (I-90) eastbound on and off ramps have reopened to night traffic.
- Starting next week, crews plan to start prep work for the new retaining wall that will be constructed outside the roadway, along the north side of Zoo Drive. This work will require a shoulder and lane closure on the north side of Zoo Drive, leading up to the Gabel Road intersection.

- Median modifications are in progress along Zoo Drive to prepare for road widening work, which is expected to begin in late July, weather permitting.
- Electrical work is in progress along Zoo Drive, Pierce Parkway, and Gabel Road to prepare for intersection and traffic signal modifications.

- This week, crews are paving the eastbound I-90 ramps. The ramps will remain open to traffic but there may be delays as traffic is moved onto the shoulder.
- On Sunday, July 13, crews plan to start milling and paving the eastbound I-90 ramps and a section of Zoo Drive between the overpass and South Frontage Road at night. This work will take approximately one week to complete and will require temporary closures of the eastbound ramps from 7 PM to 6 AM.

- Median storm drain modifications are in progress along Zoo Drive to prepare for road widening later this summer.
- Electrical work is in progress along Zoo Drive, Pierce Parkway, and Gabel Road to prepare for intersection and traffic signal modifications.

- Median modifications along Zoo Drive.
Travel Advisories:
- Beginning next week, the sidewalk along the north side of Zoo Drive, will be closed for the duration of the project.
- The I-90 eastbound ramps are expected to remain open to traffic while improvements are completed. Traffic may be shifted onto the shoulder to make room for construction activities while maintaining traffic flow.
- Please expect reduced speeds and watch for workers near the roadway.
