Week of September 7, 2025

This week:

• Riverside Contracting, Inc. will continue laying finished gravel toward the south end of the project, milling at approximately mile marker 6, heading north. Once this work is complete, two-way traffic will resume at reduced speeds (35 mph) with no pilot car or signal lights situated at the south end of the project.
• The contractor will continue constructing foundations for the new roadway with heavy equipment and trucking operations. This work will occur between mile markers 4 and 7, moving north.

Traffic Control

• Please watch for reduced speeds, trucks entering the roadway, and signal lights in the construction zone.
• Speed limit is 35 mph in unpaved areas with pilot cars guiding traffic through active work zones.
• Travelers can expect wait times of approximately 15 minutes at the signal light and a total delay time of approximately 30 minutes. Please plan ahead and allow for extra travel time.
• No width restrictions are in place at this time, however, wide loads may be delayed and should call ahead to 406-853-5392.
• Those traveling on motorcycles may want to consider an alternate route.

Construction Schedule

• Crews will work 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and occasionally on Saturdays as needed, weather and other unforeseen factors permitting.

Week of August 31, 2025

This week:

• Riverside Contracting, Inc. will begin laying finished gravel toward the south end of the project and will continue milling at approximately mile marker 4, heading north.
• Pilot cars and signal lights will be utilized for the first 2 miles of the project (south end) and also from mile markers 3 to 7. Timed signals controlling single-lane traffic may be intermittent during nighttime hours. Otherwise, travelers can expect two-lane traffic overnight.
• The contractor will continue constructing foundations adjacent to the roadway with trucking operations. This work will occur approximately 2 to 4 miles north of the intersection at Wild Horse Trail and Saint Joe Road, moving north.

• At nighttime, travelers can expect single-lane, two-way traffic controlled by timed traffic signals between mileposts 2 and 3.

• Speed zones will align with roadway work and will be approximately 2 miles in length.
