MT IFTA Carriers:
MDT does not send text messages to our contacts requesting they file their quarterly IFTA returns. Emails and mailed information are the methods of contact used.

FMCSA TIN/EIN Changes: Inquiries need to be directed to the FMCSA Customer Insurance and Registration Information Support (CIRIS) Contact Center at 1-800-832-5660 or on-line at https://ask.fmcsa.dot.gov/. Requests to make changes must also include updated, signed, and dated MCS-150 from the carrier. Go to the “Send Us a Ticket” section and attach the MCS-150.

I-90 Bozeman Hill to Livingston - Closure on May 20, 2025
Effective 05/20/2025
A 30-minute closure of I-90 and the West Bozeman Hill Road / U.S. Highway 10 frontage road is necessary to complete controlled rock excavation operations. The closure is expected to take place on Tuesday, May 20 between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. MDT is unable to provide the specific time the 30-minute closure will occur due to nearby train activity on the BNSF railroad. Plan for delays of up to 1 hour if you have time-sensitive travel during the closure window. If additional 30-minute closures are necessary to remove the rock, advance notice will be provided to the public.

Hwy 91 Big Hole River Bridge 22 Miles N of Dillon
Effective 10/22/2024. Full closure of the Big Hole River Bridge that carries Hwy 91 approximately 22 miles north of Dillon.

US-2 Bridge over Kootenai River
Effective 03/07/2024. No overweight loads, loads over legal weight, including permitted loads, are prohibited until further notice from using the US-2 Bridge over Kootenai River at milepost 11.6. The Bridge is approximately 2 miles northwest of Troy, MT.
